USB3 to thunderbolt DVI or VGA

I bought an new Mac Book Pro and want to use my old Thunderbolt to VDI and Thunderbolt to VGA Adapter via USB3 to Thunderbolt Adapter.

It does not work with my display, so I want to ask, if anyone had this problem too.

Should it work?

I think it doesn't work, if your monitor port is VGA, you need to get USB-C to VGA adapter.

If your monitor is HDMI, you need to get USB-C to HDMI adapter.

If your monitor is DVI, USB-C to HDMI and HDMI to DVI adapters.
