Apple ID store doesn't change from China to abroad.

Dear community,

I am a Dutchman living in China, to download local applications I had to switch to the Chinese app store. Unfortunately only after I found that the Chinese payment methods (wechat, alipay and union pay) don't work for foreigners (people without Chinese mainland ID). Since I changed to the Chinese store initially, I just wanted to change back to the old (Dutch) store, although this doesn't work anymore. The application crashes after switching and providing payment details. When opening the application again I am still in the Chinese store.

Anyone suggestions?

You could use the Chinese Apple Support page and contact iCloud support to cancel that transaction so it clears out of the way.

Is this over WiFi with a Chinese provider, or cellular over a Chinese carrier’s network? China does have a national firewall so there may be issues with trying to authenticate a country change once in China and using the Chinese Apple Store.

Thanks for your support. When trying your solution I received below error message. So the outstanding invoice / payment request for iCloud storage blocks me from changing countries. Although I cannot pay as the 3 payment options are for china mainland ID holders only.

Anyone ideas?

Both aren't working. iTunes crashes, iPhone application just returns to main screen from where you can deep dive into the country choice amongst others.
