i have had a phone call from my bank blocking my card as they said their was some activity on th 18th and 27th they need to check how d i access my statement

Charges on my bank statement Called the customer service number my bank gave me on the phone and computer fir 45 min They said my account was hacked They said in order to fix it I had to go to the store and buy an ITunes card with a verification number I hung up but how did the call go to them when Ai dialed the iTunes number from my bank?
