iphone x loses cellular connection intermittently

Hi,

My phone has been acting weird after latest iOS update to 12.4

Ever since I updated my iOS, i have faced an issue with cellular connection not being stable. I am with AT&T and signal drops dead to 0 bars. After a few seconds, it comes back up to 2 bars and then to 4 bars. Meanwhile, my data connection fluctuates from no strength to 4g LTE. This happens when I am not connected to Wi-Fi. The phone also restarts itself once in a while. (Haven't really figured out the reason for this).

However, I have figured out that doing a soft reset (volume up click -> Volume down click -> Hold power button till apple logo appears) solved the problem. But it would remain fine for like 20-30 mins and the problem would come back to haunt me again. I am stumped with this issue.

Has anyone faced this issue before? Should I get it checked with Apple Support? Also, My phone is out of warranty.

Hello,

See this:

1) Factory reset: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

2) Contact AT&T

3) Have the phone checked: Find Locations

Good luck.
