Unable verify username and password on Mac mail in High Sierra

When adding the hotmail account or the Bigpond.net.au account, the mail app says unable to verify username or password.

Tried on webmail and both is working. Also tried on test user and same error.

Tried on another network and same thing happens.

Tried to add it using the mail preferences or system preferences / accounts, same thing.

Do you have any recommendation on how to resolve this?

Currently running 10.13.6 as the maximum operating system for the Mac.
