Apple Watch and Nike Run Club

I have an Apple Watch 3 and I just downloaded the Nike Run Club app to my phone. It does not appear on my watch and when I go in to the watch app it is in the Applications List and when I click it gives a toggle to "SHow App on Apple Watch" I click to toggle on and it will toggle on and immediately toggle off. What do I need to do to show the NRC app on the watch.
