Spotlight

In my old OS 10.6.3 Snow Leopard, Spotlight would find the file I searched for AND show me the directory to its location on my hard drive.

In my "new improved" OS 10.14.6 Mojave, Spotlight finds the file BUT gives me no clue where I've stashed it away.

What am I missing? Suggestions? Thanks in advance for help!

When the spotlight window opens and you can see the file you are looking for , highlight it an then press the Command key

and the file path where your file is will be shown. Or in the Spotlight window you can scroll down to the bottom of the left column and click on Show All In Finder.
