I am having issues printing 4x6 photos from the photos app. When I select to print on a 4x6, my photos print as 2x3. I have noticed this has been an issue since the last system update. Can someone help? I can print a 4x6 from photoshop with no problems. I am just having this issue in the photos app. I am running Mojave 10.14.5.
Hmmmm. Interesting. What happens when you select 4"x 6" paper and print at either the Fill or Fit setting?

I cropped a photo to 2 x 3 and printed it out on 4" x 6" paper using the 4" x 6" Photos print setting. It printed out as 4" x 6".
So, I am at a loss as to why you are getting different results. Perhaps Léonie or Old Toad will chime in if they have any suggestions. Perhaps you can resize the photo before printings. Other than that, at this point I am out of ideas.
I'll watch the thread to see if others have a solution. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

The only thing I can think of is to reinstall your operating system. If you do that, first back up your computer with Time Machine.

Thank you for trying to help! I would love it if the others could chime in! I have tried what you suggested (resizing the photo before printing), but I am still getting the same results. I'm so confused as to why this is doing this.

Oh, I hope that's not the case. I just reinstalled my printer software and that didn't fix the issue. I also am able to print just fine from Photoshop and Abode Acrobat and other programs. The Photos app is the only program I have issues with.
I am not understanding your issue. 2x3 is the same aspect ratio as 4x6. If you print it at 4x6 on 4x6 paper you will get a 4x6 photo. Are you getting something else?

Yes. I am getting this (see below). In my print dialog box, when I select to print a 4x6 on 4x6 photo paper (borderless), it ends up printing the photos scaled down to 2x3.
The same thing happens when I select Fill.
I also tried Fit and Custom (setting the dimensions to 4x6). I still get the same results.
I believe it is a printer bug. Unless someone has the exact same printer they cannot duplicate it.
All I can say is that my wife prints dozens of 4x6's from our HP Envy.
