Estimated costs to fix damaged on/off button

This morning in a rush the iPad Pro came disconnected to the folio and fell. The screen didn't break but the unit hit something right on the on/off button using the button in and denting the unit. The unit will now not turn on.

Has anyone had anything similar happen? What is the estimated duration and cost to fix the unit. I don't get AppleCare for the iPad's so will need to foot the bill to fix. I evaluating buying a new unit to fixing as BestBuy has the replacement on sale for $800, not cheap but not outrageous either if the fix is high.

Thanks

I hope you purchased AppleCare+ when you bought your iPad? If you did, a replacement iPad will cost $49.

If you didn't purchase AppleCare+ when you bought the iPad, you will be offered an Out of Warranty replacement as accidental damage is not covered and Apple doesn't repair iPad's at all. The cost will be about 60% of the original purchase price.
