The problem wasn’t hardware, it was the poorly executed customer services for the Apple Card. After they started declining my purchases despite having $18,000 credit left, I couldn’t get anyone to explain why the card was restricted or why it would take a week to review the restriction once I identified that there were no unauthorized purchases on the card.
Since I was using it to purchase a dinner with a client, I was embarrassed that they would think I was
not credit worthy. There was a lost business opportunity. I thought I should get either an apology or an explanation. I got neither. Very poor customer service that wasn’t fixable at the Genius Bar.
i have significantly greater credit on my AmEx card I have used since 2001 and a FICO score of 850. If Apple can’t deliver promised services, AmEx will return to be my goto card for my business.
