Youtube main page rotation

I have this weird issue on my phone with YouTube on the main page that I can’t rotate the screen it does only rotate when the video is playing.

and my rotation is on by the way .

I'm actually new to iPhone I used to use Samsung devices before and it was a little bit easier.

Cannot click on youtube settings on iPhone 12 pro, due to battery and other icons interfering Since upgrading to the new iPhone 12 Pro, the screen is oriented such that the battery icon when in portrait mode interferes with the settings for youtube. The biggest problem with this is that EVEN if I change to landscape mode and try to change the speed of the video... as soon as I select the triple dots, followed by the "Playback speed" setting, when I THEN try to select a speed that requires me to scroll down (like 1.5x) the options disappear off the screen to the right!! is this a youtube problem or an iPhone problem???

Phone won’t rotate My phone won’t rotate on YouTube or safari or anything on the YouTube app I can only rotate it one way and it’s the full screen button at the bottom right corner and my portrait orientation is off what do I do?

That's by design for iPhones.

If you don't like it, contact YouTube Support team and let them know your request.

Oh I see

I didn't know that thanks for answering my question and actually I don't like it Android youtube app is better I hope they change it to be like Android devices.
