I am considering a Homepod but still have a few questions.
If I set up the homepod with my iphone and go out and about, and my wife wants to use it at home, (homepod) will she be able to use it?
Does the Homepod access Apple Music/cloud account or does everything play through the iphone much like a bluetooth speaker would?

You need an iphone to set up a Homepod (linking it to your account) but after that it just needs a wifi connection to the internet.
