Device just disappeared from Lost iPhone mode

My device is disappeared from lost iPhone mode it was appeared offline before. What does this mean? Now I cannot see the lost device however it stills show i owned two devices in my setting > icloud.

Lost mode So my husband lost his phone & I logged into his iCloud to put it on lost mode. His device doesn’t even show up. Is there a way Apple support can do it on their end? I was able to track it once the person who has it turned it on but they turned it back off.

They battery may have died or the device lost an internet connection.
