Lost connection during new phone restore from icloud

Hi All, I got a new phone and tried to do it on my own - mistake!

My new iphone XR lost connection to the internet during the iCloud restore of my most recent Iphone 6 backup. How do I restart it? None of my apps showed up, none of my messages and my photos are just trickling in. What do I do?

The setup completed and the phone appears to be working [mostly] normally, except: A lot of my app settings didn't seem to come over - I had to re-log in or reconfigure all my apps. Later Use Wi-Fi And the Settings dialog says: Restoring from iCloud will resume when this iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi. So, I think it has just stopped downloading data and needs to know to try to resume it. Note that the phone won't back up to iCloud until the stuck restore finishes. And according to this thread, software updates won't install either. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Restoring a new iphone from an icloud backup I upgraded from a iphone 8 + to a iphone 12 pro max. The 8+ had a recent back-up to icloud. When restoring, 2 weeks later, it has not completed the restore. I have restarted the phone multiple times, it is connected to WiFi, and still, not completing the restore. There seems to be no way to monitor what is happening, no way to see the hangup, no way to see what is occurring or what is not occuring... The phone has apps and is working, but what is going on with the restore?

I am having the worst time setting up my apple iphone 11. I never had this much trouble before. Whythe phone not connect to my wifi at home when all my other devices are running quite smoothly? I bought a new IPHONE 121 yesterday and cannot in any way get it to connect to the internet at home when every one of my other devices operate well on high speed internet. I have never had this trouble with an Iphone before and I am about to go android! I have tested my router-it's ok; I have removed and reinserted the sim card...no luck.. Prior to that I think I reset the phone about a dozen times. It won't let me stop the restore on my icloud account. I can do absolutely nothing that I know of to get on my wifi or even on my other phone's hot spot. When I check the settings, it says, " an estimated 100 MB will be required to finish restoring your apps and data." I have tried to get into my icloud account and make some changes but no luck. The phone has been stuck like this for the last 24 hours. I even tried an alternate icloud account but, too late, the sim card didn't acknowledge it. Any suggestions will be indeed welcome. My email is also available to tech support
