Hey, so I just disabled the option of my mac asking me for password after every time the laptop was sleep,
so it's good.
but now I also want to stop entering my password after the shut down or restart.. is it even possible ??

Is your drive encrypted? If so, you cannot set auto login as it would obviate the use of encryption.

Filevault state, open Terminal & paste these in…
fdesetup status
diskutil cs list | grep 'Conversion Progress'
When you click on the padlock does it ask for your password? When you enter your password does the padlock open? In other words, what happens?
this option is locked and I can not change it..
I am admin in this computer but still..
It asks for my password but than its still grayed..
So the padlock doesn't open?
FWIW, I believe Barney is correct. I never use FileVault so I always forget about it.
I can unlock the padlock but it does not help..
anyways, I tried to decrypt my drive and also to turn off the FireVault, password is still enabled somehow ..
