msg from sender “find my phone” supposedly from Apple. is it genuine
received email from sender called Find My iPhone. Under that was email address pnyk@xtra.co.nz.
it said Find My iPhone had been disabled. location: Japan. (I’m in Australia). It showed a link to enable it again. “Go into account page to change password”. i went into it but felt uncomfortable filling in so much private info so i stopped. i went into my settings and did a change to the password.
was this a scammer? How do we know when a msg is really from Apple? Is the email address not containing Apple address a clue it’s not real from Apple?
