Grey, darkened bar across iPad Pro screen

Hello all,

For the past month, I’ve been having a few incidences of this grey bar across my iPad Pro 10.5”. It flickers depending on the amount of pressure that is applied to either side of the grey bars. The first time it happened, I was able to clear it by doing a hard restart. Second time, I gave a few moderate taps to the back of the iPad which cleared it. This time, I tried both methods and it isn’t going away. I’m quite aware that this may be some loose connection of the LCD or something, but I want to know if anyone else has had this problem and what steps you took to fix it. Thanks in advance!

What is on your screen (not the gray bars) but what app is that? Is this on everything you do on your device, every app, every page, or just this app? Take a screenshot of your home screen and post it please.

The app pictured is Procreate, I used it to have a white screen to view the grey bar better (also, it’s the main app I use). It seems to occur regardless of the app, but is much less visible on grey/complicated backgrounds. (Trying to attach photos, I might have to try in separate post)

I should have recognized it's Procreate. I use it myself, but I have iPad Pro 11, so I had never used it until I got my Pro 11. I honestly don't know how it's supposed to look on a previous generation Pro model.

I think I'd have to agree with zmclearan and have your iPad checked out by Apple directly.

I looked at every photo you linked to and I don't see anything wrong with any of them. The grey bars on either side of Procreate seem too perfectly aligned to be an issue with your iPad screen and none of the other photos seem to at least from the photos exhibit the same grey bands.
