When I close my Macbook air lid, battery keeps dying, why?

How can I change laptop lid settings? Looks like when the lid is closed it's using the energy.

Macbook draining battery when lid is closed My Macbook Pro 13'' early 2015 has been draining battery when the lid is closed. This has been happening ever since I switched to Big Sur. The crazy thing is that when I bootcamped Windows and left my laptop on overnight, the battery didn't drain more than 2%. Apple, what is going on! Upon further inspection, it's clearly a macOS process: WindowServer. See attached image: And don't just post a link to an article saying "read this post and see if it helps." I've read all the posts there is, and that's why I'm posting this.

Macbook won't lock laptop when I close the lid Started after I upgraded to macOS 14. When I close the lid of the laptop and leave it for a couple hours, it's not locked when I open the lid. Seems like a pretty big security flaw... Not sure if the laptop stays on or not though, battery settings shows no battery usage for the 6-7 hours it was closed. MBP 14" 2021

The computer may still be working on some tasks even with the lid down.

Also, in System Preferences / Energy Saver, you can adjust the sliders to save energy and tick the box for "Put hard disk to sleep when possible."
