Hello everyone! For 3 days Let the battery completely discharge for more than two hours completely off. The last day was Saturday. Since Sunday I have had no problem with the battery. Today I've got it on since 5AM in the gym, went to work and being 5:35PM I'm still 60%.

have you had any improvement since then? It happened to me in July and out of the blue one day after 1 week of battery lasting only 8 hrs, it got fixed and went back to normal (36hs). Now again after updating 5.3.1 it drains really fast (12 hs max). I tried everything (reset, iPhone and watch, set as new, let it shut down for two days and load for two days..) but nothing improves... it has been 2 weeks now...

I have tried to reset Watch series 4, but did not solve battery drain. I have also reset my iPhone, without positive effect. Additionally I have shut down almost all the goodies on the watch... now it is just a watch, but still draining battery. Just to mention...battery drain started after updating to 5.3.1

Didn't fix it for me. I have let it drain completely as it won't last a full day (8 hours), and I don't have chargers handy during the day for the watch, so by default, I have done this for a lot these past few weeks. When I get it completely recharged, it drains as usually. 8-12% battery drain every hour.

All this started happening right after watchOS 5.3 install. Before, I could charge it, wear it for 1.5 days with no issues.

iPhone Xs 256gb iOS 12.4.1. Apple Watch Series 3 42mm Black Stainless Steel (cellular not activated) watchOS 5.3.1.

Tried resetting watch, tried resetting phone. Unpaired watch and started up watch as new watch and not as backup. Nothing worked. Genius bar 2 hours away and not convenient option.

At genius bar, did you have the test to see that all the iwatch sensors work fine? That is another cause of battery drain.

If everything is fine, there will be no choice to wait until September 20 and install the new ios and should correct the problem.

Reset your Watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both.

Me too. I also reset it to factory settings and it didn't work.

Me too. I fully charged it, leave it overnight without using it. When I woke up My battery is just 29%.

Same issues. When I contacted Apple, they sent me a whole new watch. I tried to explain it only happened after the iOS update. I did not instal 5.3.1 on the new watch and I have had no issues.
