Activity tracker is not working after recent update

Hi, I recently updated my apple watch to watchOS 5.3.1, after which the activity tracker on my apple watch has stopped working. Each day, I need to restart the watch for the activity app to start working. Is anyone facing the same issue? And is there a solution to this? Because it is so annoying to restart the watch every single say.
