MacBook Pro stuck in recovery OS

So earlier today, my trackpad stopped working, so I rebooted my laptop. Post that even my keyboard stopped working and I was stuck on the login screen.

After a while, MacOs suggested that I reboot my system and it will take me into recovery os.

Now that I am there, I simply cannot exit it.

I am not even able to resent NVRAM or SMC. I am taken back to this screen.

However I can say that the keyboard works because I am able to force shutdown by pressing Shift + Control + Option + Power Button

Here is what I see.

What can I do? I cannot loose any of my data.
