Batteries To Use

I have an older system and am still using the Magic Trackpad and apple bluetooth keyboard on my iMac. I have been using less than desirable AA batteries in these devices that barely give me a month and a half use out of them before I have to replace them.

My question is and I know there are many users out there that has pondered the same question: What is the best recommended AA type batteries to use in these devices. Lithium, alkaline, etc.ect.?

I am a moderate user of my computer so I would like the batteries to last me at least 3 to 4 months before replacement.

Lithium batteries will last longest but cost more. Why not use rechargeable batteries? Threy probable won't last as long on one charge, bull will cost much less in the long run.

Panasonic have a good reputation. They made the rechargeable AA batteries that Apple used to sell when the Apple devices still used AA.
