"Failed to connect to server" Popup Won't Stop

I've got a weird one for you guys, I hope you can help.

Basically, every time I restart, I get bombarded with dozens of the following message:

It seems to correspond to apps in the menu bar opening, along with other apps like Tidal. If I click to open one of these apps that has not yet been opened even after the computer has been running for a while, the same thing happens, sometimes 5-6 times in the case of Tidal before Tidal itself starts. In fact, the apps starting is contingent on my clicking "Ok".

The server it is mentioning doesn't even exist anymore -- it was my old file server and I have since removed it from my list of servers to connect to. The apps in question were never even pointed at that server as a network resource anyways, so what gives?? Anyone seen this before??

Many thanks,

Rowan

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, customcomputerguy.

If I understand your post correctly, you are seeing a problem connecting to server alert each time your computer is restarted and you attempt to launch one of the affected apps.  I'd like to help.

Let's do some testing to narrow down the issue.

Safe mode will tell us if the issue is related to a startup item or plugins, and sometimes corrects the issue. This article will tell you how: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

If everything is working correctly in safe mode, but is not working when you get back to your user account, please check the section titled "If an issue doesn't happen in safe mode" for the next troubleshooting steps.

If the issue continues while in safe mode, a test user will let us know if the issue is isolated to your account, or system wide: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac. If the issue happens in the test user also, then please check the section titled "If an issue happens in more than one user account."

If the issue continues, let us know the results of each of these tests.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Take care.
