It would be nice if I can have my iMac act as an external display to my MacBook Pro. I have an iMac (27 Inch, Late 2013) and a MacBook Pro (15 inch, 2017).
According to the specs, it should work, but it doesn't... Who knows a solution?

If you are 1000% positive you have the correct Mac cables/adapters and it still does not work, please reset the NVRAM on each Mac and then re-connect and try again.

Then re-read the article and find your error. It works, in 100% of the cases that it does not work it's user error. As mentioned if necessary reset the NVRAM on both devices is you are 1000% correct you have the right cables/adapters. Check, re-check and re-check again!
