Scam?

Why did I get this email although my account is not locked?

That's a phishing email (iTunes knows your name so wouldn't address you as 'dear customer' ; passwords don't 'change automatically' ; poor English etc.) - you could forward it to Apple : reportphishing@apple.com , and then delete it.
