Have downloaded iTunes and transfered music (I think) but there is a blue 'cloud + vertical arrow' sign against all the songs

I have new PC . Have downloaded itunes and transfered music (I think) but there is a blue 'cloud + vertical arrow' sign against all the songs . The music plays ok . But it looks like theres a brief download before it plays ?

What does that mean ?

How do I download / attach all the music (surely not one at a time!) ?

Thanks

That means that your songs (MP3 / M4A files) are not stored locally on your computer. They are in the Cloud and you can stream them which is why it needs to buffer. You can click the Cloud icon to download your songs back onto your PC.
