Same text message alert keeps popping up over & over.

Hi. I am getting the same text alert from Sonic that is popping up consistently every hour or so, sometimes every couple minutes.

It is the same message from Sonic restaurants from 289 days ago. It is NOT clickable or slidable. When I click it or try to slide it out of the way nothing happens.

I went in and clicked “Read All” on my messages, and then deleted all of the old Sonic messages, so technically they don’t exist anymore. This seems like a glitch or a virus.

My software is up to date as of this morning.

If I understand your post correctly, you're still receiving an old notification for a message that you've already deleted. I’d like to help.

It sounds like you’re dealing with a software conflict that is causing these issues. In order to isolate and fix this issue, you will need to restore your iPhone. Before you attempt any restore, I recommend you save and back up your iPhone’s data. Steps on how to back up an iPhone can be found here: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Once the backup has been completed, you can restore your iPhone. Steps on how to restore an iPhone can be found here: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
