This monitor worked fine with my MacBook Air until I upgraded to High Sierra. I have gone into system preferences and clicked on the Show Mirroring tab, but nothing happens. The Mac doesn't even recognize it as an external device. I checked on the AOC website, and it referred me to Apple. What can I do to be able to use this monitor again?
The AOC web site has nothing in its support center for this monitor.
There does not seem to be support for macOS listed, in what documentation can be located.
That UCB monitor appears to requires DisplayLink software for Windows, so likely also requires that for macOS.
Display:ink for macOS is available.
Thank you. The DisplayLink did allow the USB monitor to mirror the built-in one, but when the screen changes on the built-in monitor, it doesn't change on the USB monitor unless I click an icon in the menu bar each time. I cannot find anything in the online instructions to resolve this.
macOS doesn’t support USB display monitors natively, short of using DisplayPort with USB-C connectors.
And it doesn’t appear that the monitor vendor supports macOS with this monitor.
And I’ve not used this linkage.
Maybe somebody else has?
