Converting Protected AAC file

Any way to convert a protected AAC (M4) file to a MPEG audio (MP3) file? I want to place some of my music files onto a flash drive for my car but car USB only plays MP3s.

Converting to MP3 format Up until recently I was able to download music and then convert it to MP3 format to play in my car, which is several years old and is not able to play MP4 format. I recently tried to convert by going to "file" and thento the "convert" tab and the MP3 was there. Now it is not and al, I have access to is "create AAC version". Hi,

If the tracks were purchased from iTunes Store , you can burn them to disc then reimport as mp3. If music was downloaded from Apple Music, you can’t convert them.
