Prohibitory Symbol on Mac Desktop Start Up

Hi, my computer was acting strangely so I restarted, only to see the Prohibitory Symbol on start up, how can I restart my computer or fix this issue?

Can I fix it myself or do I need tech help?

Hi,

I assume your system disk is something wrong. Boot from Recovery Mode, then use Disk Utility to fix up the boot drive with First Aid.

You would need reinstall macOS, if it doesn't work.
