Importing photos to MacBook

Normally when I plug my iPhone into my MacBook Pro the photos pop up to import but this isn’t the case anymore, I’m unable to import photos as nothing pops up even when I restart my phone.

Importing photos to mac I am trying to import photos from my iPhone to my Mac. I have never had problems doing this before. However, this evening every time I connect my phone ‘Photos’ continually switches screens between importing photos and welcome to photos. Then it stopped and imported my photos and then they disappeared and I got the flashing between screens again. Anyone had a similar issue and know how to stop this? Many thanks.

imac M1 will not import photos from iPhone 13 pro max I have an imac M1 and an iPhone 13 pro max. Both are running the newest current ios. Photos app WILL NOT import photos from the phone. I attach the iPhone to the mac directly using a USB port. I open the photos app on the mac - the iphone does show up in the photos app window. It then says "Preparing to import from "iPhone"" and hangs there FOREVER! No pictures imported, nothing shows up, NADA. Any thought or ideas are appreciated.
