How can I delete music app or stop auto play

how can I get my phone to stop auto playing the music app when connecting via USB to my car or adding Bluetooth headset. It’s making me hate Sia (Academia) as it plays every single time. I don’t want music to play. I don’t want to pause the audio in YouTube for music to all the sudden play. I don’t want to restart audio while another app is active only for ‘music’ to start playing. I would like to sit in silence in my car but asking Siri to stop the music only pauses it until Siri disappears or suggests I remove that song. So given there’s no stop feature I’m guessing the only alternative is to delete the app which I’m now willing to do to stop the auto play, but I’m not sure how. I’d rather not jailbreak too. Is this possible?

Hello!

I had the same issue and spoke with a Senior Advisor from Apple. I was told that this is expected behavior when connecting an iOS device to a Bluetooth or USB accessory to your car's stereo. So users are not listening to silence, many stereo manufacturers will send a playback command from the stereo to the media device upon connection.

While there is no setting to disable this on iOS, some stereos might have the option to disable this and you would want to reach out to the dealership/manufacturer to see if this is an option for your vehicle.
