Can I remove the hard drive from Mac book air?

My Mac Book Air screen is not working, its screen issue that will cost 450 to fix. I have important info on my Mac. Can I remove the hard drive and place it in another Mac book air that I already have. Will that work for the recovery of my Info?

Yes they are compatible. You should try using Target Disk Mode which won't risk damaging the good computer. You can also connect an external display so you can enable file sharing and transfer the contents over the network. Or you can get an OWC Envoy Pro Enclosure for the SSD.

Just remember to unplug the power adapter and the battery before inserting or removing the SSD.
