My movies in iTunes won't sync to my ipod classic even after I check the boxes

Thank you, I called apple and they told me the device is obsolete and isn't supported by iTunes anymore.

Are there any error messages when you try? Recent purchases from the iTunes Store are likely to be in a higher quality/bitrate than can be supported on the older hardware.

iTunes still works with classics, but there isn't any support for ClickWheel games for example, nor are Apple interested in actively supporting the device. SD videos might still sync to it, although even some of those might not be in a compatible format.
