Moving iTunes media over to a NAS

This used to work flawlessly but with iTunes 12.9.2.5 I can not seem to move my iTunes media over to a Synology NAS drive.

iTunes preferences - Advanced - changed iTunes media folder location to NAS /Volumes/Music/iTunes folder - Keep iTunes media folder organized checked - Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library checked.

Media is not transfered/migrated over to NAS. Still remains on iMac hard drive. Anyone else find this iTunes version not moving media?

Running macOS Mojave 10.14.2. iTunes 12.9.2.5. All show up to date via App Store.

I use a much older version of iTunes but on most versions you have to consolidate the library to get old tracks to transfer, otherwise changing media library location just tells it to store new additions in the new location.
