Music started to automatically skip forward and back, pause on it's own and just act strange when I put in the headphones that came with my iPhone.

At First I thought this was a software problem but it happens across multiple audio applications. Seems to no be a problem when I unplug the headphones and just let the audio run. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi pik80,

I understand you're having trouble with audio skipping across multiple applications when you use the EarBuds that came with your iPhone. I also see that if you test the same audio and applications without headphones the behavior doesn't occur. I can see why you'd reach out about this behavior; I'd like to help. First, if possible, test a second set of headphones if you have some available; if the behavior doesn't persist with the new headphones, its possible the Earbuds are damaged. I'd also recommend using the steps below:

"Check for debris, damage, or loose connections

    1. Check for debris in the headphone port on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
    2. Check your headphone cable, connector, remote, and earbuds for damage, like wear or breakage.
    3. Look for debris on the meshes in each earbud. To remove debris, gently brush all openings with a small, soft-bristled brush that's clean and dry.
    4. Firmly plug your headphones back in. If your iOS device has a case, remove the case to get a firm connection."

If your headphones don't work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Should the issue persist, I'd suggest having your device examined at a nearby Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider: Find Locations

Best Regards.
