If you manage web site data, you can pick and chose what information/cookies you want to delete. If you clear cookies, it clears all cookies. Clearing the cache removes data saved from web sites you recently visited. Clearing the cache doesn't clear cookies.

The number is the amount of data saved in the cookie. If you delete the cookie, the web site will not recognize your device the next time you log on. Depending on the site, you might be asked for security questions or other information to verify who you are.
