Icloud additional storage

Hi guys, so my question is can I still use the additional 50GB icloud storage that I am subscribed to if I’m going to upgrade my iphone? I’m currently using an iphone 7 and I’m upgrading to the XR but I don’t know if the additional storage is going to work on the new phone or if I have to cancel it and just subscribe again once I have my new phone?
