airdrop loose quality?

Does sharing photos and videos with Airdrop make them lose quality to the device that receives those videos and photos?

There is an Options link at top of Airdrop, which has selection for "All Photos Data". The description states when selected videos will be sent in original quality.


From what I have read elsewhere, it is believed that if you don't select this a 4K/60fps video for example will be sent and converted from HVEC to H.264.


Would be nice to get a clarification from Apple on this to confirm how this setting affects video quality.
