Naming group iMessage

How do I name a text msg group if all participants don’t use iMessage? I saw a thread about this but it is over a year old. I was hoping you had updated that feature and it is possible to do now. Surely there is a way to make it possible to name a group no matter what message service you use.

How can I send named group messages to people who don't have iPhones. How can I send named group messages to people who don't have iPhones? This is a serious drawback on the message app! I regularly send messages to different groups with overlapping members and it quickly get's confusing as to which group you want when sending another message. Having a name for each group would prevent me from having to click on 20 different names each time i need to send a message to a group before a meeting. What do other folks do to get around this failing? iMessage only works if everyone has an iPhone.

Nope, everyone has to have an Apple device to name a group.
