Hello,

Try running Malwarebytes (free version only) to see if it catches it and removes.

After the free version is installed, look for the Malwarebytes-3.dmg file in your Downloads folder, open and install. Once installed, run the scan.

Hi. I did the Malwarebytes move and it’s still in my computer. I’ve cleared my browsing history and emptied the Trash. PDF Expert (part of the malware) is still in my Applications files. When I try to trash it, I get a message saying it can’t be sent to Trash because it’s open even though I haven’t opened it. No option to close. Help

I had that problem too. The icon lurks in the dock at the bottom of the screen. One you right click on it to quit, you can then drag it out of finder to trash. I did that and it worked however I just had a pop up on my screen saying I had a “required update” for Yahoo. If you click on it, it looks like it will just download the whole mess again. Malware bites doesn’t clear it.
