apple id disabled

I can get to itunes but Each time I try to get to my account, I get a message that tells me the Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons. They give no redirection to remedy this. Any thoughts?

Same problem here in Canada, nor sure how long it's been but at less a week since I downloaded anything. Contacted support and all they ask me was for my billing address and last 4 numbers of credit card, then they got back to me telling me that they were escalating the case to someone else. They haven't told me why it's disabled.

I'm having the same issue. I don't use a Discover card for iTunes, but I did use the Discover card to purchase my Mac from the Apple store. On 1/1/11 that card was used for a iTunes purchase and the DS account was cancelled. I've been emailing with Apple support for this issue since 2/3 and they said 2 days ago that Apple was working to fix this issue. I just realized tonight there are a whole lot of us having this issue. Someone should bring this to the media's attention. I think Apple has a security breach they are keeping under wraps. Yep, I can log into my account, see all of my settings... but I can't purchase anything on iTunes and I can't get any free apps. Frustrating.

All,

Check your purchases lists - have just hit the Apple ID Disabled problem, could still log in to the account without issue but changed password anyway through iforget.

However when I checked purchases someone had managed to get £175.00 of fraudulent transactions through on 24th Jan.

Now waiting for reply from Apple... who dont seem to have a fraud department to talk to..
