iPad is disabled. Connect to iTunes - Restore Seems To Fail !

It appears my older iPad is taking longer than the 15 min allowed when trying to restore. It then goes back to the error message. I tried a few times. What can I do now?

First, why are you restoring your iPad? Did you forget your passcode?

There are two links I'm going to provide. One is for a forgotten passcode, the other is if you can't update or restore. But if your iPad said it was disabled, the one for a forgotten passcode is the one you need.
