ApplicationEvents 1.0

For some reason something called ApplicationEvents just opened on my MacBook Pro and this appeared:

I am not very technical unfortunately, so I was wondering if this is normal/routine or something I should be panicking about? What set alarm bells ringing is that I also recently saw the reappearance of this:

which I also understand to be a bad thing, from previous posts here. Needless to say I have not ever inserted my password. (This message appears when Safari is in use and has to be closed three times before it disappears.)

Yes, all of that happened to me as well. I have deleted the application. However this evening when I tried to open Safari I got this message:

Never seen this before and I couldn't open Safari. However I then installed the latest software update, restarted the computer and Safari is working again. Hopefully the security component of the update has sorted it.

Thanks so much for posting this. I went ahead and downloaded MalwareBytes and it found 14 threats on my computer. My Safari didn't always go to websites and my email through Apple Mail was only receiving last week, but today decided to not send or receive. After running MalwareBytes, everything seems to be back to normal. Thanks everyone for your help. I will post again if anything suspicious happens after today.
