Hi LadyDi58,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that after updating to iOS 13, you're missing notes in the Notes app on your iPhone. I know how important the notes you keep on your iPhone can be; I'd like to help. The options to potentially recover your notes depends on how they were being stored on your device; check Settings > Notes to see what is listed as your default account, and proceed with the applicable steps below:

  • If you were using iCloud to store your notes:
    • Log in to iCloud.com using a web browser on a Mac or PC; if you see your Notes in iCloud, on your iPhone tap Settings > Your Name > iCloud and tap to disable Notes, wait a moment, then re-enable and check for your data in the Notes app

  • If you were using a third party email address to sync notes with your iPhone:
    • Tap Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Email account; if Notes is enabled, tap to disable and wait a moment before enabling again, then check for your data in the Notes app.

Best Regards.
