Greyed out Apple ID

@dbfocus I think I found the reason that it is greyed out. I just fixed mines after I posted my original message.

• I went to my email and noticed that I had an unopened email that I missed from Apple Support entitled (subject line) "Billing Problem".
• There was a message advising me of a billing problem with an app that was set to renew yearly and had come up for renewal.
• There is a blue button that says "Fix (Whatever credit card you have on file)"
• I clicked on it and resolved the payment issue and immediately I was able to see that my Apple ID was blue and clickable again.

This is the fix for my account and I hope it is the fix that you need as well. Best wishes to you.

Have you checked Settings/Screen Time for any restrictions?

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.

Reset Device

Had the same issue. Restart does not helped. I’ve used Screen Time > Turn Off Screen Time, it had reenabled Apple ID in settings.

You should cofigure Screen Time again if it is needed.

I went to screen time in settings and turned off the

screen time and it fixed the problem immediately!!!!! I then just for fun, not, I turned the screen time back on, and it still worked!!

I just checked my iPhone 8 Plus which is on iOS 13.2 and noticed that my Apple ID is greyed / grayed out also and it won't let me do anything. I scheduled a call so Apple can let me know what is going on.

from Settings on my iPhone 7 my Apple ID is grayed out. I can not reset it with shutdown. please advise. thank you
