i want to update my ipod touch 4.2.1

whenever i update my ipod touch 4.2.1 through itunes. it seems like skip the days and no updates my ipod but i install latest version of itunes

If your iPod is running iOS 4.2.1 that means it's a 2nd generation iPod Touch. iOS 4.2.1 is the latest version that the 2nd gen Touch can run. When you check for updates, you will see a message telling you that your iPod is up to date.


That's because it is "up to date", that is, it has the most up-to-date version that it can use.
