Find my Friends gone after iOS 13 update

I just updated my iPhone X to iOS 13 last night. Now the Find my Friends app has been removed from my phone. Why is this and can it be fixed?

Find my friends icon is gone after update. I understand it’s changed to just “find my” but do I need to go the ap store and download it? How do I find it?

no, you do not need to download it. It is is pre-intalled with ios 13. As has been said, its either where you used to have the Find My iPhone app, or in a folder called extras.

I have an iPhone x with 13.1.3. I understand that Find My Phone has been replaced by Find My...BUT it is not available on my phone. The above instructions to go to Settings->Notification->Find My doesn't work. It's not listed there. When I search my iPhone for "Find My", it's not there. The ONLY place I see any sign of Find My is Settings->[My Name]->Find My where I can turn on the functionality to share my location and identify my phone is the location. It works for my people to find me, but I want to be able to FIND THEM. That was the valuable functionality in the Find My Phone app. Is it possible to get THAT functionality on my iPhone X?

For all of those readers who are experiencing this same problem and haven't received the help they are requesting, I have found a workaround. From your iPhone, you can use Safari to log into iCloud.com. From there, you can open the Find My Phone app which also allows you to find your friends. It's a bit clunky, but at least I can see where you people are... Hope that helps!

Same thing happened to me after I updated my OS. If you're like me and don't have an EXTRAS folder...search through ALL your folders. I finally found the FIND MY widget in my TOOLS folder. Because the Find My Friends app got combined with the Find My iPhone app, it might be located in the folder that had your Find My iPhone app. Hope this helps somebody out.

I think it’s important that Apple know that this was a real problem for many people. It’s not that the user couldn’t find the app. That’s easy. You just search for it or scan around and find it in a folder. My problem was that it was NOT THERE. I promise. I know how to use my phone. After a few more updates, it eventually showed up and works fine.
