No. its both now. The Find My Friends features are under the People Tab.

Same thing happened to me and I couldn't find an answer until now.

Follow the steps below to load the widget for the new "Find My" app that replaced the "Find My Friends" app.

Go to:

Settings

Notifications

Find My

Notifications Grouping

Change from "Automatic" to "By App"

Return to main screen(s)

Go to "Utilities" file

Touch & Hold "Find My"

Tap "Rearrange Apps"

Drag "Find My" widget to one of your main screens

No, you don't look in Settings. You look in the folder on your home screen called "Extras". If you can't find that, use Spotlight to search for it.

I too have an iPhone X . what features do I not have that won’t let me use find my friends app any more? It will not let download at the App Store and I use this app almost every single day. What is going on

You obviously haven't been following the thread but let me help you out, the problem is the widget is not showing in the widget list, so if you are so sure it is a replacement then tell us where the widget is?

It would be more helpful if you could answer the question instead of repeating the same thing over.

I couldn't find the icon either until I saw something that led me there. Find Friends is gone but the Find My iPhone icon has been replaced with the Find My icon. In my case the Find my iPhone icon was in a folder so I was never seeing the change. Hope this helps.

I am grateful for this thread; and royally ****** at Apple. I literally 1) set up my tween's first iPhone last night w/ Find My Friends so I could track her 2) my phone coincidentally updated my iOS last night and 3) I sent my tween out for the first time on her own, comfortable only because I set up FMF last night.

You see where this is going? Off goes my tween 20 min ago; I go into my phone, and...no app where it is supposed to be. Ummm...panic! I search the phone. Not there. I scramble (what's the name of the app?). Cannot find. I search the app store. I see message OP got above. I am FREAKING OUT. I Google and thank heaven for this thread. I can see my (young! )tween now.

Oh, and Apple? Don't decide for me that the 'replacement' app goes in utilities, eh? >:( . Leave it where I put it, why don't you?

I found Find My in my “Extras” folder. However, a friend of mine found the My Find icon freestanding within the icons. Look in every folder. The My Find icon looks different than the Find My Friends did, so it won’t jump out at you.

Good Lord, this is ridiculous. You update your phone and the app disappears....has a whole new look...is put somewhere else and we're supposed to find it? Apple...you REALLY messed this up. I can't even put photos in the icons now. HORRIBLE update.

The find my icon / widget miraculously appeared on the 3rd swipe across on its own and works the find my device and find my friends but has taken this old fart all day on and off to find it. Ask Siri to find ‘ find my app’ and Bang its there. You kids might be ok on this kind of 6§@9 but what a B game.

I need for somebody to tell me how in the heck to log into the Find My app. There’s no place to find my old password. If I forgot there’s no place in the app to say that I forgot and it would let me reset it help

You don't need to log in to the App anymore. The App now takes whatever Apple ID is signed into iCloud on the iPhone and uses it directly.

If you are signed in to iCloud, then you are signed in to the Find My app.

i Have had this phone less than six months. So far, it’s a significant downgrade.

it won’t sync with my 2017 car-spent over an hour on the phone and finally had to give up because I have an appointment

now we have an “upgrade” that left my phone inoperable this morning. I couldn’t even get it to turn off or reset it.

Now, my find my friends app is gone because some genius decided it needed to be bundled with all the other find my tools-didn’t tell anyone and most of all, didn’t tell us how to put it back on my new and improved phone. Meanwhile I’m trying to make sure my college kids get home ok for Fall break.

I found a way around this!! I was so mad about the widget being gone, but this make it almost the same. If you just add Shortcuts to your widgets, you can create a shortcut from the Find My app to whoever you used to have in your Find My Friends. It’s basically the same thing!
