buying an iphone with band 4

Are iphone 11 Pro compatible with the LTE / UMTS band 4 or AWS which should work with both 1700 and 2100 MHz if bought in the USA? Is it a special requirement to make at the moment of purchase? Are they sold in the USA or only in Europe?
